I guess even that old Tumpa tinpot trashpiece could be thanking me for this. Alas, I don't need to insult him to provide a representation of who he is.
Anyway, my understanding is....
James stepped away from core. "Journey Through Heaven" was originally a ripoff of the "loving you, it's easy when your beautiful" song. I've got a dubplate of it I may rip at some point. Never really released and the same in many parts. I guess he realised it didn't work well and did it as a solo track.
He gave a load of these masters away for free on his SC at the time.
Last thing I heard was around 10 years ago. He was at Brighton uni. We were actually going to work together on a few tracks. He wanted to finish uni first. Alas we all parted ways somehow.
Probably could get in touch with him again but cba and anyways, not good having a few thieving labels pounce on older artists that someone else has got back into the scene.

So the stuff he uploaded to Soundcloud and the stuff he put on a link on this very forum is different?
The version of Rainbow tune that he posted on here is 22 seconds longer (the last breakdown is far longer).
Edit 1: But if these are exactly the same, then all of them (except for The Sound of Love) aren't sourced from DATs directly and have gone through a modern day compression algorithm.
Edit 2: Apparently there were different uploads on Soundcloud, as the link James did post was to his SC page

I remember James Venus sending some of these several years ago but were unmastered. I loved the original mix of Dancing Thru The Night, the one that was on Absolute Hardcore 3 was the remix and in a terrible quality press
