They do look a little bit big, but I've been waiting about 10 years for a practical one, they did make one back the in 80s but you had to carry around a giant receiver pack with it. This one is the first one with built-in receiver, the only disadvantage is, it will only work with the earphones, as it doubles as a antenna, so you'd need to carry around the earphones with you.
You probably will need a tv license, you do for pocket tvs, but you won't need a separate one, you only need one, regardless of the number of tvs you have.

Europe basicly ****ed up with the 3G network in about 2000, thats why Japan is so much ahead in mobile technology ATM ...or so ive understood.

The phones pickup regular FM and regular broadcast TV I think... but it might be digital? Not sure I don't have that phone myself.
