Right, its looking likely that between myself & Allison we'll be able to create an original vocal to be used for the comp.
This idea has real potential and would allow the producers to create tracks with little musical boundaries making for real variation & original ideas.
The idea for having the members write the lyrics is excellent. The first stage of the comp could be a lyric comp with the eventual winner working closely with myself & Allison in prep'ing & turning their lyrics into vocals for the comp.
Show of hands, who'd be willing to have a go at writing the lyrics? I need to get an idea of numbers to justify holding this stage of the competition

I certainly like the idea of having a go, but I've never even thought about writing lyrics before. It would probably be utterly cheese on toast, cringeworthy even. But yeah, I'd have a stab!

The lyrics could be uplifting & simple & cheesy, or you could take things a little deeper & more meaningful, whatever you want.
I know many of you have probably never thought of writing lyrics before (myself included) but its another great way for the non producing members to get involved. Its also a great place to start for the up & coming producers of the site. If you aspire to grow as a producer then your sure to be involved in the vocal process eventually in one way or another :)
