Scent is the strongest sense that links to fond or not so fond memories, next to touch, taste, sight and sound.
What is your favorite smell?
Mine are:
-fresh cut grass
-fresh grown coffee in the container
-burning leaves
-my favorite colone(s)
-flowers, shampoo, washing detergent and dryer softner sheets, lol.

It would take me a while to think what i really like, but i know i like the smell of petrol :)

i love the smell of petrol, it is one of those smells, people either love it or hate it, like the smell of tar
personally i hate the smell of fresh cut grass, i'll think of someone as none apart from petrol are really springing to mind atm

I love the smell of:
cranberries
fresh cut grass
cucumbers & watermellon
faint scent of incense long after its been burnt out
dirt & mud (yeah i know thats kinda wierd)
air after it rains before the stench of worms :P
food cooking
sugar
Fall- dead leaves
I cant think of any more...

i have to agree with you for that, smells like taht really get me thinking

I work as a plumbing and sewer contractor. You don't even want to know about the smells that I have become used to...

theres a smell that i have only smelt like...3 times during my life so far, and i dont know what it is, each time i smelt it i was outside - i love the smell, but i cannot place a finger on it - or why its significant to me

whenever i smell sulfur i think of model rockets cause the engines smell like it after being used up
and of course i love the smell of coffee in the morning... nothing better
uncut weeds also have a smell. dunno what it is but every time i smell it I get sent back 10 years or so

Every morning on my way to work we go past Fox's biscuit factory (home of Rocky Robin) on the train..... I love the smell of freshly bake biscuits!
