yeah well it just snowed like 2 days ago, so yesterday the salt trucks were out...and well i was standing infront of starbucks on the corner and all of sudden i was getting like hit with tons of rock salt! anyways!!
i like the smell of...fresh cut grass, the air before it rains and thunders n all that, uhm...dead leaves in the fall, fresh ground coffee, clean clothes, baking cooking and cakes and brownies, and strawberries, apples and pears.
oh yeah! i like the small of liquor stores and garages...lol

The smell of early morning in the summer.
Theres loads of others but those are my favs off the top of my head.
Just thought of another, talcum powder (dunno how to spell it, but its the white powder you put on babies when they've been in the bath).

I agree, the smell of matches after being extinguished is amazing.

nope, the ones I use have antimony trisulphide so they burn more vigorously. most matches heads contain 45-55% KClO3, with a little sulfur and starch, a neutralizer (ZnO or CaCO3), 20-40% of siliceous filler, diatomite and glue
most match striking strips are made from like 50% red phosphorus.

i thought the strike anywhere matches (red tipped) where phosphorus and the safety matches (brown tipped) was another compound
