You won't hear about it on the BBC. They keep stuff about that from the UK quiet as well.
The BBC are known for their pro EU bias and are awfully left/ liberal. They hate Johnson but tolerate Corbyn although it is Blair who they truly loved.
As for Sweden the BBC are obsessed with Greta Thunberg. A nice enough girl but the media practically stalk her. I find it a bit creepy.
Now I will say that I am against racism and condemn it but the BBC are also obsessed with BAME representation so much so that a lot of people from BAME communities find it patronizing. LGBT favoritism itself is strong in the BBC. Again there should be nothing wrong with that but the BBC over represent. If you are white, straight, Conservative and perhaps on the leave side of the fence then you are one of the bad guys in their eyes.
The BBC are one of the major culprits in the Brexit divide in this country. Have their ever really given a balanced view on Brexit allowing any airtime to anyone who sees benefits for leaving?
I can't stand the BBC. A lefty nonce brigade. They need to abolish the TV License.

Even centrists are called 'far right' now. It's the radical left that's the problem.

I don't own a TV so I do not pay a TV license. They are welcome to come round and check as well. What they have done to the elderly people is disgusting while paying themselves huge salaries.

No TV licence here, either, but we've not heard a peep out of them other than a 2 year confirmation that we still don't need a licence after initially signing the no tv licence required declaration on the Tv licencing website about 5 years ago. They're very welcome to pop around though, there is no antenna on the house, and I've blocked iplayer at the DNS level.
For us though it wasn't so much a hatred for the BBC, it was just that we noticed that nobody was actually watching live tv so it was ?145 a year that could be better spent elsewhere.

How do you block Iplayer ? Id do that and cancel my license if I could trust the others in this house not to use it.

Not like that no, that looks as though it involves money - and of that I have none. There are two free ways to do it.
If you want to block anyone using your router use this method (it's been a while since I did it, but here it is in rough from what I remember)
Method One
Step One:
First set up a free openDNS account at http://opendns.com
and in your account go to web content filtering - set it to "none"
(unless you want to filter porn on your router too, in which case you can choose different levels of content filtering)
below that you'll see a place where you can add specific domains to block. For iplayer and youtube ads add these:
a.files.bbci.co.uk
ad.youtube.com
ads.youtube.com
component.iplayer.api.bbc.co.uk
dts.innovid.com
emp.bbci.co.uk
ibl.api.bbci.co.uk
ichef.bbci.co.uk
mybbc.files.bbci.co.uk
open.live.bbc.co.uk
rtd.tubemogul.com
s.innovid.com
s.youtube.com
ssl.google-analytics.com
vs-hds-uk-live.bbcfmt.vo.llnwd.net
www-google-analytics.l.google.com
that will stop iplaying working and stop the vast majority of youtube ads - it also has the added effect of also blocking images on any bbc site, if that's a site you use it's just something you'll have to put up with.
Step two: (location and wording will be slightly different for each router)
Hop into your router settings and go to advanced and then the DNS tab.
type the opendns servers as your dns which are
208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220
and you're done - if you have a dynamic IP you may want to put the opendns program on one of your pcs so it can update opendns if your Ip changes.
This is the most surefire way of doing it, as anything that uses your router is unable to use anything iplayer, so any iplayer apps installed on smarttvs or phones that are connected to your router also will not function.
Method Two: (if you want to block iplayer on individual machines quickly and easily)
Install adblocker
click on advanced and in the section called 'My filter list' add these URL/Code combi's:
||ichef.bbci.co.uk^
||vs-hds-uk-live.bbcfmt.vo.llnwd.net^
||open.live.bbc.co.uk^
||mybbc.files.bbci.co.uk^
||ibl.api.bbci.co.uk^

Done.
I think the wife was a bit weary at the start of cancelling the licence, but then after a bit you just forget about it and it's like it was never there in the first place. The kids couldn't care less and didn't even notice as they were just using the TV for youtube vids anyway.
